Both in her voice and straight-up rock style, Gilmour, despite being Scottish, actually recalls such North American artists as Melissa Etheridge, Heart, and Sheryl Crow (among others) over 12 songs imbued with Classic Rock-like melody and drive. The album opener, "Be With Me Tonight," for instance, gets things off to a rocking start with a power-chord-backed chorus worthy of any of Pat Benatar's best hits, while the infectious "After All This Time" has a hook that's tailor made for adult oriented rock play lists. Drawn from personal experience, the singer-songwriter's taut and emotionally charged songs such as "I Thank You" and "Before I Can Fall," also find their mark, due particularly to a powerful backing band at one with the material and the vision behind it. While she may be a newcomer to the scene, don't expect Caroline Gilmour's terrific CD to go unnoticed; "Someday" is here for fans of Classic Rock as polished as it is raw and untamed.

-Rice B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Caroline Gilmour 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"It's Not Too late" by Brooke Branning (Soft Rock Artist from California(CA))

"It's Not Too Late" by Brooke Branning is a powerful mix of Pop, Rock, and Country that has some real soul. Branning's strong, sensual voice is what gives this album its x-factor. The professional quality of the recordings let the songs show their true potential. The album shifts away from its Country base with tracks like "Love Is The Price" with a bouncy rhythm and melodic lyrics. One track that shines as a favorite is "Given Freely," a Country song with a sweet, catchy chorus accented by its angelic background vocals. If you're a fan of Melissa Etheridge or Sheryl Crow then check out this gifted and talented artist and her latest CD, "It's Not Too Late" as it is soft Rock and Country at its best.

-Matt M. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Brooke Branning's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Sleepers Awake" by Char Butler & Amber Whitworth (Soft Rock Artist from Arizona(AZ))

The newly released CD, "Sleepers Awake" by mother/daughter duo Char Butler & Amber Whitworth, is an engaging collection of easy listening/soft pop music while containing spiritual ambiance. Butler and Whitworth share superb vocals as their expressions and delivery of the thoughtful, well written lyrics blend in wonderful uniformity. Your spirits will be awoken as the interlaced vocals and vibrant beat on "Higher Truth" seep gracefully into your soul. For fans of the Beatles, don't miss a chance to hear the beautiful rendition of "Let It Be" as sweet emotions pours forth with warmth and sincere style. Relax as "Love Me Dare" highlights soft and silky vocals that are complimented by the sounds of the tender, musical instruments. The vocal chemistry between these two women is ultimately shining throughout this entire album and as you can hear on "For in Time." With a line up of musical accolades to his credentials, Donaldson really knows every aspect of writing and performing. His memorable vocals are soft and serene which complements the melodic lyrics. Feel a touch of country on songs such as "Colorado Ride" and "My Heart's In The Right Place" with the predominantly sweet steel guitar licks. Batdorf uses his vocals, which are strong and possess a soothing quality, to create generous helpings of folk/rock music while he also laces this disc with his sweet acoustic guitar flair. This mixture of eleven songs is packed with energy and catchy lyrics, as you will hear on "What D'Ya Got" and "That Don't Seem Right To Me." The wonderful soft rock ballad, "Will I Love You Forever," tugs at the heartstrings with its memorable lyrics and emotive vocals. The title track "Old Man Dreamin'" is an edgier rock song with country style and has a nice dynamic balance between vocals and instruments. Expressive lyrics, acoustic guitar, and a catchy bass line fuels the fire on "Ain't No Way" with its country tonality and moving beat. Fans of the group Eagles will want to tune in to "Old Man Dreamin'" by John Batdorf, as it is fused with well-written gems of folk/country style.

-Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out John Batdorf 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

"Someday" by Caroline Gilmour (Soft Rock Artist from The United Kingdom)

Caroline Gilmour's debut CD, "Someday," is simply an excellent example of female-fronted heartland rock played with fire, conviction, and the kind of passion that keeps rock 'n' roll vital.

Check out Caroline Gilmour's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

Check out Loren Davidson, one of RadioIndy's favorite Soft Rock artists
Radioindy Artist Spotlight for Loren Davidson

Band Name: Loren Davidson
Band Location: California Oakland East Bay
Sounds Like: Jimmy Buffett
Visit Band's Website: click here

"Hang in the Balance" by Craig Donaldson (Soft Rock Artist from Colorado(CO))

Well rounded and talented artist, Craig Donaldson, performs wonderful adult pop/soft rock songs on his newest disc "Hang in the Balance." The album is filled with upbeat, fun lyrics and a great island feel by way of steel drums, shakers, and horns. Davidson's third release is true to the trop rock precedent set by Jimmy Buffett. The songs on this album center around overcoming life's obstacles and learning to relax instead of feeling overwhelmed. Davidson's lyrics are positive, clever, and they involve a good deal of beach imagery, island metaphors, and the enjoyment of an alcoholic beverage. "Every Day's a Holiday" is well-produced and the album sounds very clean and professionally done. "Going Coastal" is a play on the phrase "going postal", and through quirky lyrics, offers an alternative to it – namely, getting "cured by a week by the sea." "I Need a Weekend (to Recover From My Weekend)" is another humorous track about hangovers, having the case of the Mondays, and the instinct to throw your boss out the window. Overall, Loren Davidson has crafted an immensely entertaining album about how a day on the beach can alleviate the tensions and challenges of every day life. This album offers eleven heartfelt songs nicely formulated around Morgan's skillful acoustic compositions in the pop, folk, Americana, and blues genres. His vocal performance is similar to that of James Taylor, and Morgan is able to convey a good deal of emotion solely with his voice in a manner that leaves you hanging on every word. This vocal performance is perfect for the acoustic arrangements and the emotions stirred up in his lyrics of life and love. "Lost Away" is well-recorded, as Morgan and Rock Hollow Records hand-selected Morgan's finest tracks for this album, and it sounds great. "Perfect Day" is a great melodic track with a nice acoustic progression and great lyrics about success being nothing without the one you love by your side. "Trashed White Blues" closes out the album with a more upbeat bluesy track featuring twanging guitars and a great acoustic beat. Overall, "Lost Away" is an impressive debut from a talented singer/songwriter capable of conveying his emotions both vocally and musically. Fans of soft rock and great acoustic arrangements, give Matt Morgan a listen.
-Chris & the RadioIndy.com Review Team
Check out Matt Morgan's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites

“Every Day's a Holiday” by Loren Davidson (Soft Rock/Country Artist from San Francisco, California (CA))

"Every Day's a Holiday" is an entertaining trop rock album from beach-dweller and singer/songwriter Loren Davidson.
